How to Choose the Right Water Ionizer

For decades, water ionizers have been used in Asia to help treat conditions including arthritis, weight problems, cancer, inflammation, digestive issues, skin disorders, acid reflux, allergies, fatigue, gout, and even chronic pain. Yi-Shan’s Water Ionizer line has the advantage of having the lowest priced ionizer on the market, but still offers great value for the investment. Using three large electrodes, the lowest priced ionizer produces alkaline water with a very high pH, usually 9.5, sometimes even a 10 pH.  It’s a great choice for an economical “no frills” water ionizer if you have municipal water. It might work with well water, but well water is a “wild-card” and may require more ionization power.

The YiShan models reduce electrode mineralization by fully draining the electrode chamber between each use, and running a cleaning cycle approximately twice a day. During this cycle you let it clean and do not use the water. It comes in 3, 5 and 7 ionizer plate models.

Things to Remember:

The majority of ionizers use between three to seven platinum-dipped titanium electrode plates. Generally, you can assume that the more surface area the water flows over, the stronger the ionization. Only buy an ionizer with platinum-dipped titanium electrodes, which all of ours have, and we only carry solid electrode plates for longevity. More electrodes generally mean the ionizer will have a longer life-span, but it is dependent on family size, usage and care.

High-alkaline water produced by an ionizer with three to seven electrodes will produce water within the drinkable range of 9.5 to 10, but some of the models containing seven to nine electrodes can produce water with a pH of 11 or higher, which is not recommended for drinking. Super high pH water (over 10 pH) can be used as a disinfectant cleaning solution. The pH range for drinking water should generally be between 7.5 and 10 pH. Your skin and hair usually show a pH balance of 5.5, and a low acidic pH of 2-4 can be used as a disinfectant for cleaning or wound healing. Many house plants prefer a slightly acidic pH.

Most ionizers on the market will show an “ORP Range,” which gives the consumer an idea of the model’s Oxidation Reduction Potential. This refers to the negative charge the resulting alkaline water will show. The negative charge means negative ions, and they scavenge up the positive ions that we know as free radicals in our body. Tap water is usually at +250 to +350, and a good ionizer will be able to reduce that millivoltage charge to -350 or lower. Keep in mind that this charge will depend on the related charge and mineral composition of the source water. The negative ions are the most important feature of ionized water and are usually equated with an alkaline pH. *

Ionizers can usually be installed a number of ways. Frequently, these systems are installed at the sink with a diverter from the faucet, easily attached directly to your kitchen faucet’s aerator with hoses attaching to the ionizer that sits on the counter. Or, using a Water Ionizer Conversion Kit, the ionizer installs under the sink, out of sight in the cabinet, with a small dedicated double faucet for both the alkaline and acidic waters.

When shopping for a water ionizer, look for the warranty. Ionizers are expected to last at least ten years, with an average longevity of closer to 15-20 years. This, of course, assumes the system is being routinely cared for, with filters changed as needed and with an annual deep cleaning. Most ionizers offer at least a three year warranty – if it doesn’t, it’s probably not a solid investment. Ours have 3 year, 5 year or lifetime warranties. Avoid water ionizers from China as it’s crucial that you can buy filters for many years – and we get calls all the time from folks looking for obscure water ionizer filters. This is from me –

I’ve been “zesting” lemons for quite some time now (I use organic lemons). Before squeezing them to get out the lemon juice I’d use a fine grater and zest off the yellow for the potently healthy limonene in the skin. All good. Heard about freezing the whole lemon then grating it to use the pith (white pulp) and the seeds, as there’s B17 (laetrile) in them thar seeds (just like the familiar Grapefruit Seed Extract that is a natural anti-biotic/viral/fungal/parasite). I liked that idea – so I froze two lemons. Two months later, there they were, in my freezer untouched. Hmmmm…..

In the hundreds of things I read each week, somewhere I came across the concept of pureed lemon. Yup, the whole thing. Peel, pith, pits and pulp! Loved the idea, mostly because it’s easy and no waste! Washed the lemons, trimmed off the little ends, cut in a few pieces, pureed in my Blendtec high-speed blender (like the Vitamix but less expensive). I may have added a bit of high-alkaline ionized water to get it started – I really can’t remember. Pureed them all!! Poured the puree into a couple of widemouth jars and set them in the fridge.

The pectin in the pith is particularly beneficial not just for digestion but to absorb toxins in your digestive tract and colon – this is always a good thing, whether or not you’re plagued with problems. I like a good thing when I see it…

Well, well, well… next day I was thrilled and delighted (I’m pretty easy to please)! The lemon puree was fairly solidified, like a jelly is solidified – because, of course, from the pectin!!! So, basically, I made a pectin that could subsequently be blended with other fruits to make a jam! I promptly defrosted some fresh local ripe mango and pureed it with some solidified lemon pectin to try this out, and poured THAT into a few small jars! Mmmmm – not bad at all!! A bit of a bitter edge from the bitter pith and seeds, but I’m pretty hardcore when it comes to health (some of you know that about me already) and I don’t mind it – you could sweeten it more with honey if you like.

So, back to lemon in the morning – I’ve been making a morning green drink – either with fresh veggies and green powders or just green powders – and adding a good tablespoon of this lemon pectin – for me, the green drinks are plenty sweet to counter the bitter pith and seeds and the strong taste of lemon is delicious!

So I wrote a Lemon Limerick for you!

There were 8 lemons with zest –
I washed and cut up to ingest –
Set the blender on fine,
Pureed to a grind,
Lemon pectin drinks are the best!

Himalayan Crystal Salt Solé (so-lay)

urparamount-sole1Salt is as essential as water. We could not survive without water or salt. All the properties of salt that relate to our body are closely connected to water, because the crucial properties of salt, biochemically as well as biophysically, only exist in combination with water, and remember, we are mostly water – 70%!

This is very special salt.  This pink Himalayan Crystal Salt is hand-mined 5,000 feet under the earth from deposits of salt that are 250 million years old. The salt was crystallized over the millennia due to the immense pressure.  This crystallization captured the energy needed to dehydrate the primordial sea and it is this measurable energy that is released from the salt when it is dissolved in water.  The same way we know there is energy inherent in Quartz Crystals, there is energy in this pressurized crystal salt.  This energy frequency matches the frequency in our healthy body, so it helps to “re-tune” and energize if the frequency is deficient.

The mixture of water and crystal salt, called “Solé” (so-lay) is the most flexible physical representation of pure solar and light energy. The word solé, is derived from the Latin word “sol”, which means sun. Solé is nothing but the fluid materialization of sunlight. Solé means fluid sunlight or fluid light energy. In water, the salt crystals release 84 minerals which are in almost the exact ratio  as the 84 minerals in our bodies since we supposedly came from this ancient primordial sea.  The minerals are also in their ionized form, which is the form our bodies recognize and can use, much as the ionized minerals in foods and ionized water.  In addition, this salt is qualitatively different than other sea salt, even pink sea salt, which is gathered at or near the earth’s surface and is not “crystalline” in structure. While these salts do have extraordinary mineral content, it does not always match our bodies’ profile, nor are these minerals in ionized form which means they are too coarse for absorption.

To make and use Solé , you put the Himalayan Crystal Salt “rocks”  in a small glass jar or cup  and cover it with good quality water* (see note at end). If the rock does not totally dissolve, then you have the 26% solé solution, meaning the water cannot hold any more salt.  This solé is anti-bacterial, so you do not need to keep it in the refrigerator, and it will not go bad.  Use one teaspoon (not a metal spoon – use wood, porcelain or glass) first thing in the morning followed by at least 16 ounces of water to jump-start your day and “tune” your frequency.  This solé, salt water brine, is unquestionably the energy matrix in which life begins, develops and subsists. Remember, our blood, sweat, tears and lymph are all salty!

As you use up the water, simply re-fill your jar and the rock will give up more of its salt to the solution.  Replace the rock when all that’s left are pinkish specs, which are minerals that are too coarse to be of use.  BEWARE there are many brands of “pink salt” being sold as Himalayan Crystal Salt, but not all are – some are just “pink” salt from other places, some are actually “rock salt” from near the surface or from inferior mines. The salt we sell is certified to be the exact salt that has been extensively researched and documented to contain these life giving properties.

The human body needs only as little as .2g of salt per day. Rather, we tend to use too much salt than too little. As opposed to refined table salt, you can use Himalayan crystal salt more freely because of its holistic properties which make it easy for the body to assimilate. With the recommended one teaspoon of Himalayan crystal salt solé every morning, you are not only receiving the biophysical aspect of the salt, which is the frequency pattern of the crystal salt, but also the biochemical aspect of the salt, containing sufficient minerals and trace elements. The body will hold the frequency pattern of the crystal salt solé for 24 hours. Therefore, we only take the solé once per day on an empty stomach. Plus, the solé can neutralize your body’s acid alkaline balance, normalize blood pressure and dissolve toxins. Patients on Dialysis, or with high blood pressure, should generally use very little salt and follow the advice of their doctor.

People actually go down into these mines for the benefits of absorbing the unique energy, and ailments are cured.  Different grinds of salt are available:  rock crystals, pebbles or fine table salt, as well as bath crystals and salt inhalers for lung issues.

*The best water to use for Solé is high pH ionized water (from a water ionizer), next best would be filtered tap water, then good quality bottled water such as Fiji, Zephyrhills, Whole Foods 365, Deer Park or supermarket “Spring” water.  Do NOT use Dannon Spring water, Poland Springs, Smart Water, Vitamin Water, Dasani or Aquafina – these are acidic waters and detrimental to your health.

Good salt has been found to help the electrical frequencies open up when using a Rife machine, as the frequency generator, also known as a Rife machine, matches the frequencies of diseased cells and pathogens to cause them to implode and has many built-in frequencies that help open your body’s electrical meridians. Swine Flu – Bird Flu – Any Flu Epidemic – Not Me! Protect Yourself!

The Swine Flu is being reported in worldwide media and everyone is worried. Of course it will get worse before it gets better, and, some say the Swine Flu Epidemic will get very, very much worse.

Am I worried about Swine Flu? Am I worried about any flu? No, I’m not even worried about a cold!

You might wonder why, and I’m going to give you a brief rundown of my “health” regimen. In 1997 (the last time I was sick) I had bronchitis for 3 months. I willingly took every drug the doctors threw at me to try and shake it, but it took 3 months. I swore I’d never get sick again, and I haven’t.

Over the past years I’ve refined my diet to be at least 70% raw (nuts, seeds, lots of veggies, small amount of fruits, sprouted & dehydrated foods). The other 30% consists of lightly steamed veggies, whole grains and the occasional homemade pizza (shh!) and even ice cream once in a while! Oh yeah, and I do drink red wine a couple times a month. That’s the basic diet.

However, there are some other healthy things I ingest daily. First what I don’t ingest is soda, juices, carbonated or bottled waters, processed foods, meats and dairy. These things are acidic, and I’ve studied and learned that acidity allows germs – viruses, bacteria, fungus – to take hold and multiply inside you. They thrive on acidity, and create additional acidity from their waste products! This theory of disease, that germs are already in us, but it is the health of your internal system that allows them to take hold, or not, was also supported by Louis Pasteur, the notable 19th century French chemist and microbiologist best known for his remarkable breakthroughs in the causes and prevention of disease. He recanted his famous germ theory of disease (microbes invade us and make us sick, therefore you need pharmaceuticals) on his deathbed. His popular germ theory was officially accepted and became the basis of Western medicine in the late 19th century, never gaining notoriety for his death-bed recantation. The rest is history. His rival at the time, Dr. Antoine Bechamp, a genius in the field of science, was less well connected to the wealthy and those in politics and medicine, so HIS theory is what Pasteur, on his deathbed, admitted was correct, stating, “The microbe is nothing. The terrain is everything.”

It therefore stands to reason that the swine flu virus (or other pathogen) does not CAUSE disease, but rather seeks out an environment where it can thrive best, and that is in oxygen-deprived, acidic bodies. Disease cannot thrive in a well-oxygenated, alkaline environment. Therefore, the best defense against microbes, germs, harmful bacteria and viruses, such as the swine flu virus, is to keep the body alkaline and oxygenated.This enables the body to fight off and/or cure itself of virtually all diseases ranging from influenza to cancer, AIDS, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, arthritis and more.

The philosophy of the alkaline diet (briefly) is that the body must maintain a pH balance of 7.365 in the blood and other tissue cells. In the same way that it has to maintain your body temperature within a certain range – your body will also do whatever it takes to maintain that pH balance. To neutralize acids consumed, our body buffers with alkaline reserves. However, with the modern Western diet this buffer is always very quickly exhausted, and the body has to draw alkaline minerals (mostly magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium) from wherever it can to keep our blood pH at 7.365. As stated earlier, when we consume too much acid and exhaust our alkaline buffers, our body is constantly being overloaded with acid build-up. Because the blood pH is so sensitive, a slight drop in the blood level, like to 7.2, gives a person the “condition” called Acidosis. Read more in “Your Body & pH articles…

Back to my lifestyle, in addition to being mostly vegan (a bit of cheese & fish a couple times a month, maybe), I believe in chlorophyll, good salt, good oils, and most importantly of all, good water.

I’ll address these each briefly:

  • CHLOROPHYLL: Veggies of course, predominately dark colored, and lots of broccoli. I also take Chlorella & Spirulina every day and you can read more about it here and in the articles on my site. Chlorophyll oxygenates your blood, plus these foods are alkalizing, and disease cannot live in an oxygenated, alkaline environment. Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Otto Warburg, in the 1930s(!), led us to the knowledge that cancer lives in a low oxygen environment like most bacteria. Every time Dr. Warburg lowered the oxygen level by 35% in a healthy cell, it became cancerous. Cancer needs a low oxygen environment to survive, as do other pathogens. Basically 99% of the time, a terminal cancer victims body is a thousand time more acidic than normal. This environment causes a low or no oxygen environment in which cancer and disease thrives.
  • Good SALT: Our body runs on water and salt, necessary for our electrical pathways. NOT ordinary table salt which is processed and the cause of all the “low-salt” diet hype, but good salt. I use only Himalayan Crystal Salt freely on all my food, and as a “Salt Sole” as well. I sell this amazing salt in fine granulated for a salt shaker and small pebbles for grinding and making Sole. Do your homework and you’ll find this salt’s mineral content almost exactly matches ours, as does the vibrational frequency of the salt. Other sea salts cannot match this Crystal Salt from 5,000 feet under the surface of the earth as they are surface salts with much less minerals and do not possess the energy bound up in Himalayan Salts crystalline structure.
  • Good OILS: We need good oils for good functioning of all our body’s systems. Not the cheap stuff folks, sorry. Good oils like unrefined cold-pressed coconut oil, extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil, flax seed oil, hemp seed oil, fish oils and lots of fresh raw avocados!
  • Good WATER: By far, without a doubt, the most important part of a healthy diet plan! I won’t go on about the benefits of high-alkaline ionized water because you can read all about on my site and in lots of articles, but, since we are mostly water, it is essential to drink lots and good quality. Certainly the water from a water ionizer, in my opinion, is the best and has done wonders for me – read MY STORY to find out.

All these components, together, keep me healthy. I haven’t been really sick at all since 1997. I believe my body is alkaline and running well so that it WILL NOT support the virus causing Swine Flu, any flu or cold virus. And maybe I’ll live to 120!

BUT SHOULD YOU BE ILL OR CATCH SOMETHING or end up with any one of innumerable chronic diseases, consider the Rife Model 101 Energy System for frequency healing. What the Bleep Do We Know

This movie addresses quantum physics and the part of our universe that we cannot touch, cannot see and cannot hear, but is there. It has been shown that by a person simply observing, the stream of electrons flowing through the air can be influenced. So, if this is possible, what else is possible?

Dr. Masaru Emoto has demonstrated that the structure of water can be influenced for the better by a person’s kindness and love! He developed a system to freeze water and then photograph the frozen water crystals. He found that pure, healthy water forms better water crystals than polluted water.
Ultimately, the result of his work shows us that healthier water has a hexagonal structure. This is exactly what the molecular scientists have concluded as well, that the hexagonally structured water is more protective of your health than pentagonal water (Penta Water) or irregular shaped water molecules.
Among the many beneficial attributes of high alkaline ionized water, the water ionizer produces micro-clustered water molecules.
