I have Ehlers-Danlos connective tissue disorder (see My Story).
Due to the many minor joint dislocations over my lifetime, there is some permanent and semi-permanent damage to tendons, ligaments and muscles in my right arm, shoulder and neck. I’ve managed it well and have only fairly minor issues now. 30+ years ago I pretty much lost the use of my right arm after too much abuse, including building a stone house! Tons of physical therapy and exercise restored most of the function and strength.
My right elbow has constant moderate pain and inflammation. I pretty much ignore its ups and downs, as I can still brush my teeth and get a fork to my mouth, things I couldn’t do at its worst. And, I don’t wear a brace on my arm or hand anymore, so I consider the issue fairly minor. However, it’s always there. The Rife machine helps when the muscles are spasmed and the pain is bad, but it seems there’s deep damage that only deep-tissue massage therapy can help, and that is a long process I’ve only recently discovered.
A couple of months ago, I started carrying CBD products discounted on my site and I co-authored a book on CBD too (get it for FREE below). I’ve been testing various products out on myself and found two GREAT things:
1) CBD-Rich Hemp Oil relaxes the tightness.
Taken in drops under my tongue, 10-15 mg of CBD relaxes the right arm/shoulder/neck muscles that are perpetually somewhat tight due to all the old damage. This was exciting, however, since taking it orally makes it go throughout the whole body, it also made me somewhat tired (good at night for winding down!).
2) CBD-Rich Hemp Salve slathered on my elbow when it was feeling lousy, has helped tremendously!
After the first application, 20 minutes later I noticed the pain and swelling were down about 50-60%. An hour later I rubbed more on and I’d say the discomfort and inflammation in my elbow is around 90% gone. This is a small miracle! CBD builds up in your system, so if I keep this going (3x/day) maybe I can cut down to 1x/day. Oh, and the CBD is absorbed transdermally (through the skin) so it didn’t make me tired. It stays local to work its magic. I’m excited!
This study is regarding “Cannabidiol-transdermal delivery and anti-inflammatory effect in a murine (mouse) model.” They were investigating rheumatic diseases. You may find it interesting. I did.
